Diploma of Gran Menzione (Big Mention)
The wine Tocai DOC Friuli Grave of Tomasella vineyard, the Bastìe Bianco of the year 2003, has received the diploma of Gran Menzione (Big Mention) during the 15th edition of the Concorso Enologico Internazionale organized by Veronafiere, that gathers twenty-one errands composed by the most authoritative international journalists and qualified enologists, for a total of 105 experts, called to appraise the champions coming from 31 Countries, unwound in Verona from 21st to 25 th March 2007.
With diploma of GRAN MENZIONE (Big Mention) are awarded those wines that get the best score (for a maximum of 30% of those affiliate in every group for every of the anticipated categories of the article 4 of the Rule), provided that they reach the minimum score of 80 cents according to the method of evaluation “Union Internationale des Oenologues”.
The competition is considered a sort of World Cup of the enologic sector for the manufacturing Firms and the employees, from the moment that it only attributes 88 medals distributed in 22 categories, equal only to the 3% of the introduced wines.
All over the world don’t exist demonstrations, adherent to the International Federation of the Great Enologic Contest with its center in Montreal, Canada, that can boast these records. The prizes are assigned according to what forseen in the Rule approved by the “Union des Oenologues.”
