Diploma of Great Mention
Bastìe Bianco, Tocai CDO Friuli Grave year 2003, and Rigole Spumante Brut, Pinot bianco year 2006, have received the diploma of Great Mention respectively during the 15th and 16th edition of the International Oenological Contest organized by Veronafiere, within Vinitaly 2007 and 2008 year editions, that gathers twenty-one examining boards composed by the most authoritative international journalists and qualified enologists, for a total of 105 experts, called to appraise the champions coming from 31 Countries.
With diploma of GREAT MENTION are awarded those wines that get the best score (for a maximum of 30% of those affiliate in every group for each of the categories provided for by article 4 of the regulations), on condition that they reach the minimum score of 80 cents according to the method of evaluation “Union Internationale des Oenologues”.
The competition is considered a sort of World Cup of the oenological field for the wine-producing firms and the experts, since it awards only 88 medals divided into 22 categories, equal only to the 3% of the introduced wines.
All over the world there are no other events, joining the International Federation of the Great Oenological Contests with its offices in Montreal, Canada, that can boast these records. Prizes are awarded according to what provided for by the regulations approved by the “Union des Oenologues.”
